Propolis Trap [511]

Earn extra income from your hives by collecting propolis, a resinous substance from the bark and leaves of trees and shrubs.  Put this trap on in place of your inner cover.  Prop open the top a little and the bees will propolize the trap to keep out the light.  

To harvest propolis, put the trap in a bag and put it in the freezer for a day. Take out and bang on your counter and propolis will fall from the trap to the bag. You may also flex the trap to release the propolis as well.
