Polystyrene 6 Frame Nuc Feeder [PNF]

This feeder has two access portals on opposing corners with clear plastic barriers that allow bees access to syrup but inhibits them from drowning.  When used with the corrugated NUC divider, plastic barriers also allow the two 3 frame nucleus colonies to be fed at the same time without risking access to each other. Holds up to 1.5 gallons.

Helpful hint: Some beekeepers have enhanced the performance of this feeder by scratching the inside of the clear plastic barrier (with 80 grit sandpaper or a capping scratcher) to give the bees an extra “grip” while feeding.  Alternatively, you may add some sand to the paint you use.
