Description

The patties are approximately 1 pound each. They each measure 11.5 x 6 x 3/8" x 3/4".

Use for colonies that have run low on honey stores in the wintertime and those needing to be fed in emergency situations. These carbohydrate patties contain sugar, Honey Bee Healthy and about 2.5% AP23 pollen substitute (protein).

Two patties can be fed at a time when using standard 8-frame or 10-frame equipment. Can be fed throughout the winter months and into early spring when warm enough to open the hive. Not recommended for spring build-up purposes. (This product is not the same as a pollen patty!)

To feed, remove from plastic bag and apply straight to the top bars; cut into fourths if needed to place the patty around the cluster. Leave the paper on the patty; the bees will remove it and carry it out the entrance of the hive. We recommend storing patties in the freezer (allow them to thaw approximately 12 hours before use). They can be stored frozen for up to 1 year.
