Beetle Jail

A baitable, reusable SHB trap featuring 3 compartments. A central compartment houses the bait that beetles cannot get to, but they can smell through the vent slots. Bait ideas:  pollen, pollen substitute, minced banana peel. 2 larger end compartments hold the trapping substance such as vegetable oil, mineral oil, or food-grade diatomaceous earth (DE). With larger bee populations, place traps on outside frames. For smaller colonies, place close to the brood cluster. Made from polypropylene.
