We are not selling bee packages, queens or nucs from our location in 2013.
However, we are offering the list below for your use.
If you are looking for 1-2 packages, we recommend that you order them by mail, directly from a producer in the south. The price is usually the best, you can ask the breeder questions and they will arrive at your post office--ready to install.
However, many choose to pick up their bees from "providers" who pick-up bees down south and have them back to Ohio within 24 hours. This is also a good choice and makes more sense if you are looking for more than a couple of packages.
We do not endorse any of the providers below. These are simply resources that our customers have indicated that they have had luck with.
For new beekeepers, we recommend "gentle" Italians, which are typically easy to work with, build up quickly and are considered the best honey producers. However, suppliers may also offer other breeds of bees.
